deep tissue massage

Deep Tissue Massage helps activate the natural healing processes in each patient's body as well as to reduce the impacts of repetitive stresses from activities of daily living. Through deep tissue massage, I help patients restore normal muscle function and increase mobility while making sure we are communicating clearly on comfort levels throughout the session. This technique is ideal for patients who are dealing with chronic pain, are hard on their bodies or are recovering from a previous injury.

ASHIATSU

Ashiatsu Massage is a deep tissue technique without the discomfort of pointy elbows and thumbs. It is a barefoot massage therapy that allows the therapist to work with gravity to deliver three times the pressure than with hands-on treatment while maintaining broad and consistent pressure. By utilizing slow, broad and compressive movements, the therapist is able to achieve client relaxation quickly which allows the client to receive more massage benefits in a shorter amount of time and maintain results for a longer period. Benefits of Ashiatsu include improved posture, increased range of motion, relief of muscular discomforts all while inducing deep relaxation. Another benefit of Ashiatsu is that it creates less inflammation and post-massage soreness when compared to hands-on deep tissue techniques. Ashiatsu is not suitable for all bodies so please consult with your massage therapist prior to scheduling to treatment to ensure it is right for you.
